Today, I'm going to share with you my special recipe for Savory Pie with Sliced Bread. It’s delicious for snacks and parties, but it’s also great for a more informal lunch or dinner. It's practically a classic of Brazilian cuisine. The suggestion is a chicken filling but the best part is that you can use whatever you have in your fridge. So, let's get to the recipe?
Ingredients:
Chicken Stuffing:
Dash of olive oil
1 chopped onion
2 cloves of garlic, chopped
2 chicken breasts (cooked and shredded)
1 chopped tomato
2 tablespoons of tomato paste

Black pepper
1 cup of cottage cheese
3 tablespoons of green olives
Chopped green scent
Corn cream:
1 can of green corn
1 cup of milk
salt
Black pepper
Mashed potatoes:
1 kg of potatoes (boiled and mashed)
1 cup of milk
2 tablespoons of butter
2 tablespoons of cream
salt
Black pepper
Assembly:
2 packages (450g each) of crustless bread
1 and 1/2 jar of mayonnaise
Grated carrot
Shoestring potatoes
Cherry tomato
Pepper-stuffed olives
Method of preparation:
Chicken Stuffing:
In a pan, heat a drizzle of olive oil and sauté the chopped onion and garlic.
Add the cooked and shredded chicken breasts, tomatoes and tomato paste. Season with salt and pepper. Cook over low heat.
Meanwhile, prepare the creamed corn.
Corn cream:
In the blender, place the corn and milk. Mix until you get a smooth mixture. Season with salt and pepper.
Pour the creamed corn into the pan with the chicken and add the cream cheese. Let it simmer for 2 minutes. Then, turn off the heat and add chopped green olives and green chilli.
Mashed potatoes:
Cook the potatoes until they are soft. Mash them and add the milk, butter and cream. Mix well and season with salt and black pepper.
Assembly:
Line a pan with plastic wrap and start assembling the layered cake:
Bread without crust
Mayonnaise
Mashed potatoes
Chicken
Grated carrot (optional)
Repeat these layers once more. Don't worry if the layers overgrow the pan; The important thing is to press the entire snack with plastic wrap.
Refrigerate until the next day.
Unmold the cake and cover it with mayonnaise. Add straw potatoes on the sides and finish with grated carrots, olives stuffed with peppers and cherry tomatoes. You can even garnish with mayonnaise sprinkles.
