Are you ready for a delicious adventure? Today I bring you a recipe that will make you fall in love with my favorite sweet: Rosca Doce de Padaria! Believe me, this wonder will surprise your taste buds in an irresistible way. Get ready to dive into an explosion of flavors and textures worthy of the culinary gods. So, put on your aprons, turn on your ovens, and let’s embark on this culinary journey together!
Ingredients:
– 500g of wheat flour
– 10g of dry organic yeast
– 100g of sugar
– 1 pinch of salt
- 3 eggs
– 1 tablespoon of butter or margarine
– 200ml of warm milk
– 100g raisins (optional)
– Confectioners’ sugar for sprinkling
Method of preparation:
1. In a large bowl, mix the wheat flour, yeast, sugar and salt.
2. Make a well in the center of the mixture and add the eggs, melted butter and warm milk. Mix well until a homogeneous dough forms.
3. Transfer the dough to a floured surface and knead for approximately 10 minutes, until it is smooth and elastic.
4. If you are using raisins, add them to the dough during the kneading process.
5. Place the dough back in the bowl, cover with a clean kitchen towel and let it rest for about 1 hour, or until it doubles in size.
6. Preheat the oven to 180°C.
7. Divide the dough into 3 equal parts and shape each one into a cylinder.
8. Intertwine the three parts, forming a braid.
9. Place the braid on a greased baking tray and let it rest for another 30 minutes.
10. Place in the preheated oven and bake for approximately 30 minutes, or until golden.
11. Remove from the oven and let it cool.
12. When cold, sprinkle icing sugar on top.
13. Serve the braided sweet donut in slices and enjoy!
