Are you looking for an easy but impactful recipe? So how about a delicious barbecue ribs with homemade sauce? This is my secret recipe that is a hit with friends and family. Let's go, because this recipe is super simple and tasty!

Did you know?

Barbecue sauce, despite being an American classic, won the hearts of Brazilians and became one of their favorite options to accompany meat. This combination of sweet and sour flavors is simply irresistible.

Ingredients:

1 kg of Pork Ribs

250 ml of Water

3 tablespoons of Worcestershire sauce

50 ml of Lemon Juice

1 Cup of Ketchup

2 tablespoons of yellow mustard

4 tablespoons of sugar

½ teaspoon of black pepper

½ Teaspoon of Salt

½ Teaspoon of Garlic Powder

1 Teaspoon of Onion Powder

1 Teaspoon of Smoke Powder (optional)

1 pinch of cayenne pepper

1 Teaspoon Cumin Powder

1 Teaspoon of Smoked Paprika

Method of preparation:

First make the barbecue sauce. In a pan, place 250 ml of water, 3 tablespoons of Worcestershire sauce, 50 ml of lemon juice, 1 cup of ketchup, 2 tablespoons of yellow mustard, 4 tablespoons of sugar, ½ teaspoon of black pepper and ½ teaspoon of salt.

Then add ½ teaspoon of garlic powder, 1 teaspoon of onion powder and, if preferred, 1 teaspoon of smoke powder (optional). Mix well and cook until the sauce reduces by half, becoming very creamy. Let cool.

Now is the time to prepare the pork ribs. To speed up the process, you can use already seasoned ribs. Sprinkle a pinch of cayenne pepper, 1 teaspoon of ground cumin, and 1 teaspoon of smoked paprika over the meat.

Drizzle each rib with about two ladles of the barbecue sauce we prepared previously.

Then wrap the ribs in aluminum foil, ensuring that they are well sealed so that no air or liquid escapes.

Place the ribs in the preheated oven at 180 degrees for approximately 1 hour and 30 minutes, or until they are cooked. If you want ribs that are looser from the bone, leave them for up to 2 hours.

After the cooking time, open the aluminum foil and drizzle the ribs with more barbecue sauce. Finally, bake again at 250 degrees to brown, until the sauce is well browned.

And there it is, ready to enjoy a rib with a finger-licking barbecue sauce! Serve and enjoy!

Follow-up:

The barbecue ribs can be served with a portion of rustic potatoes or a delicious coleslaw (cabbage salad). To perfect the experience, add a cold beer!
